Lou Gehrig Paint splatter accent DAY

In conjunction with Major League Baseball's third annual Lou Gehrig Day on June 2, Nationals Philanthropies has teamed up with General Manager Mike Rizzo to raise funds and awareness for ALS. Mike and his family know all too well of the devastating nature of this disease. Mike's sister Kim was diagnosed with ALS in 2018 and valiantly and bravely battled ALS until her passing in 2020. Presently there is no known cause of the disease, yet it still costs loved ones an average of $250,000 a year to provide the care people living with ALS and their families need. Donations help the ALS Association make ALS livable for families impacted throughout the DC, Maryland and Virginia area.

This week, Washington Nationals Philanthropies hosted its biggest Thanksgiving meal distribution to date to give out 800 turkeys and bags of food. Thanks to generous support from BetMGM, the event delivered over 3,200 complete Thanksgiving meals into the community.
