Paint splatter accent Joe Ross donates Steelo Gloves to HUSTLE Program

November 24, 2020

Thanks to a generous contribution from Nationals pitcher Joe Ross, Steelo Gloves created and gifted 18 custom baseball gloves for the Washington Nationals Youth Baseball Academy HUSTLE baseball and softball players. These one-of-a-kind custom gloves represent the same high-quality equipment used by professional players. Crafted by hand from blue leather with red piping details, each customized glove carries the HUSTLE team logo. Reflecting its commitment to growing the sport, Steelo Gloves provides glove donations and subsidized equipment to programs most in need.

“As the only black-owned glove company being used in MLB, it’s important for us to reach kids at the youth level to promote baseball as an option within underserved communities. It’s an honor to work with Joe Ross to produce pro quality gloves for the Washington Nationals Youth Baseball Academy in D.C. as the program continues to set the tone and impact the community,” stated Steve Friend, Founder of Steelo Sports.

The signature program of Nationals Philanthropies, the Youth Baseball Academy uses baseball and softball as vehicles to foster positive character development, academic achievement, and improved health among youth living in underserved communities. On behalf of our Scholar Athletes, thank you Joe Ross and Steelo Gloves for the generous collaboration and donation.

These athletes are so deserving of a special contribution in support of their play. I think of a young man like Maxwell. Even in a year like this, he has worked hard to make gains. A personalized glove for him, made possible by Joe Ross and Steelo, celebrates the dedication to he has put in to improving and recognizes his hard work.
