Paint splatter accent Youth Baseball Academy and 4P Foods launch “Buy a Bag” campaign to increase food access

The Youth Baseball Academy and its partner 4P Foods launched today a new campaign to increase food access through its weekly farmers market. The campaign invites the public for the first time to support the weekly market through a new “Buy a Bag” feature that provides a direct contribution to cover the cost of fresh produce for the children and families who need it most.

Since 2018, the Academy has partnered with 4P Foods to operate the only year-round farmers market in Ward 7 in order to deliver healthy, nutrient-dense food in the communities served adjacent the facility.  In response to demand brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic, more than 2,000 bags of produce were distributed through the weekly market last year, representing a 210% increase over typical distribution in the same period the year prior.
