Through the legacy fields program, nationals philanthropies renovates youth baseball and softball fields in the washington, d.c. region.

Ryan Zimmerman Field, the inaugural Legacy Field, opened in April 2016 at Randall Recreation Center located just a few blocks from Nationals Park. The second Legacy Field, Iván “Pudge” Rodríguez Field, opened in August 2017 at Mason District Park in Annandale, VA. The third Legacy Field, Bryce Harper Field, opened in May 2018 at Takoma Community Center in Northwest Washington, D.C. The fourth Legacy Field opened in Spring 2022 at Ferebee-Hope in Washington Highlands, supported by Max and Erica Scherzer.

Scherzer Field

Dedicated in Spring 2022, Max Scherzer Field is located at Ferebee-Hope in Washington Highlands and hosts baseball and softball programming for KIPP DC students and neighborhood residents.

Dedicated in May 2018, Bryce Harper Field is located in Northwest Washington, D.C at Takoma Community Center and is home to Senators Satchel Paige Little League.
